Agreement

By downloading or using CV Calculator ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

License

David McCrory ("Developer") grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes strictly in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the App
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
Use the App for any commercial purpose without written permission
Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

Disclaimer of Warranties — Important

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

This App is not a substitute for professional financial, actuarial, or legal advice. Always obtain an official commuted value statement from your pension plan administrator before making any decisions about your pension benefits.

CV Calculator provides actuarial estimates only. Calculations performed by this App:

Are not official commuted values and cannot be used as the basis for pension plan transactions
May differ from values calculated by your pension plan administrator or a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA)
Do not account for all plan-specific rules, buybacks, transfers, or amendments
Are based on publicly available CIA interest rates and CPM2014 mortality tables which may not match your plan's exact methodology

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any:

Financial decisions made based on calculations from this App
Discrepancies between App estimates and official plan calculations
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App
Loss of data or inaccurate calculations resulting from incorrect inputs

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

CV Pro subscriptions are auto-renewable and managed through Apple's App Store:

CV Pro Monthly: $4.99 CAD per month
CV Pro Annual: $39.99 CAD per year (7-day free trial)
CV Pro Lifetime: $79.99 CAD one-time purchase

Auto-Renewal: Monthly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Free Trial: The 7-day free trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Cancellation: Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Refunds: All purchases are subject to Apple's standard refund policy. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.

Intellectual Property

All content in the App is the intellectual property of David McCrory and is protected by copyright law. CIA interest rates and CPM2014 mortality tables are published by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Apple's Standard EULA

This App is also subject to Apple's standard App Store End User License Agreement: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
